**Role Summary/Purpose**

The Finance Manager role at Machine Automation Solutions business will be responsible for all aspects of finance related to our Progea portfolio. You will be a key member of MAS Finance team. The role includes leading financial budgeting, planning & control processes, monthly closing, reporting & forecasting (POR) activities, plus leading statutory & internal financial audits. The role will be responsible for managing and developing one direct report in our Modena office, with dotted line responsibility to guide and leverage finance resources in global financial service center.

**Essential Responsibilities include**:

- Financial management and controls process across Progea portfolio
- Responsible for leading monthly closing, forecasting & HQ reporting cycle, including budget setting and presentation to local management, BU/HQ & European management
- Ensure timely submission, accuracy, consistency and integrity of financial data
- Monitor actual performance versus forecasts, understanding P&L variances, and driving cost efficiencies and spend discipline
- Ongoing measurement and improvement of asset management and capital spend management
- Responsible for internal & external audits as well as compliance with all statutory and US GAAP requirements
- Formation, management and development of the local finance team
- Provision of management and analytical information to operations, senior management and other stakeholders, as required
- Other projects as defined by the Director of Finance such as SAP migration
- Communicates effectiveness and develop interpersonal relationships across the organization

**Qualifications / Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of Corporate Accounting or Finance experience
- Process oriented and strong data management skills
- Strong Project management skills
- Ability to work in a global environment and assess/respect cultural differences
- Works well with ambiguity and in matrix environment
- Fluent in Italian and English

- Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals
- Established analytical and reporting ability

- Experience with TeamSystems, SAP and Hyperion/HFM
