Accounting and Finance Manager Italy

**About the role**:

- Being the main local PoC for the outsourced accounting back-office staff based in Chennai/Warsaw.
- Local leader and main PoC of transition from Oracle to Fusion.
- Monitorization of backlogs of scanning invoices and support to local accountant.
- Primary point of contact for other Orange Business departments and Regional Accounting Manager regarding local statutory accounting matters.
- Management of statutory audits (preparation and fieldwork, interim and final phase), liaising directly with auditors, discussion of adjustments, and reporting progress to Regional Accounting Manager).
- Preparation of statutory accounts and corporate income tax on a yearly basis, and responsible for meeting all statutory compliance requirements for the two Italian entities
- For the operating entity, preparation of quarterly meeting with the Board of Statutory Auditor (Sindaci), responsible to prepare presentations and other documentation for the Board of Director’s meeting and shareholder’s meeting and being the Secretary of Directors within the Italian Board.
- Ensure tax compliance (VAT and corporate income taxes, withholding tax, Intrastat, etc.) for the two Italian entities (operating entity -SpA- and Italian permanent establishment of a Dutch holding -dormant branch).
- Management and monitorization of Italian SDI. Main PoC for Finance Solutions team.
- Liaise with local fiscal consultant to prepare income tax (direct taxes), VAT and WHT.
- Preparation of Statutory set of books plus Orange Business Extended Trial Balance on a yearly basis for the statutory accounts preparation, external audit and tax return computation.
- Ensure compliance with local reporting regulations / Italian PEC owner and main contact with tax advisor with regards to Italian branch of Dutch holding.
- Support review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and necessary follow-up for the locally fully owned reconciliations and preparation of certain balance sheet reconciliations at year end.
- Management of internal and external finance archive.
- Monitorization of Local accountant in the team (reporting both to RAM).
- Direct report to Regional Accounting Manager of the region.

**About you**:

- Education: Bachelor degree plus professional qualification in accounting
- At least 6 years of work experience in general finance/accounting in complex multinational environments (Accounting Manager or GL manager or in audit firms. Experience in reporting to third parties.
- Good knowledge of accounting flows and processes, issue detection and escalation to tackle immediately with resolution suggestions to Business Process Owners and Regional Accounting Manager.
- Experience in reporting to management, and ability to communicate and co-work with internal other departments (tax and legal mainly). Experience as a local team leader.
- Experience in working with Finance ERP systems (Oracle Financials).
- Excellent communication in English to report down-top to RAM and business owners and to implement and accommodate Group accounting policies top-down to the Italian entity.
- Excellent in relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Language skills: English and Italian.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in English and Italian mainly.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Flexibility with respect to working hours, especially during busy periods.
- Good organizational and management skills.
- Good team player with ability to act as individual practitioner.
