**Roles & Objectives**

As an Intern you will be part of our Quality Control Center of Excellence (CoE) for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to Manager QA CoE Laboratory Footprint. The position will be based in Bologna.

In your role, you will join the Quality Control CoE team supporting the operational Laboratories network through continuous improvement based on a data-driven approach aimed at optimizing testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

You will be assigned a project to deep dive through the information and data within the Laboratory network and contribute to enhance the data-driven decision-making process, focusing on identifying inefficiencies and enhancing operational costs performance.

A key responsibility includes supporting the collection, interpretation and standardization of Laboratory network expenditure ensuring accurate cost attribution.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Collect and consolidate expenditure data across the laboratory network to identify improvement opportunities.
- Analyze and interpret cost drivers to support strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement data-backed process enhancements.
- Support the maintenance of the functional databases and dashboard.
- Acquire knowledge of internal documents & data through operational tools.

**Who we’re looking for**:

- Degree in Economics, Engineering, Chemistry or similar (Management or Chemical Engineering would be an advantage).
- Computer and data management system skills (MS Office, PowerBi, SAP, LIMS).
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Willingness to adapt to new challenges and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Collaboration skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
