**Job Description Summary**:
The Designer and Hardware owner is responsible for the design and development of engine and transmission accessories following the NPI (New Product Introduction) process, from concept to technical definition, development, certification of the product and support to service
**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Facilitates the design and layout of all components and systems that are auxiliaries to the main product such as piping, valves, tubes, fluid delivery and removal (fuel, lube, hydraulics), pumps, actuators, tooling, etc.
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and AvioAero and/or GE. Explains technical information to

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from an accredited University
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical disciplines
- Experience on Fuel, Air, Oil and Cooling System component (valves, filters, pipes, accessories, sensors, heat exchangers, brakes).
- Capability to issue technical documentation (component specifications, test procedures, review presentations)
- Capability to interface with internal departments and to manage technical relationship with external companies, Suppliers and Customers.
- Knowledge of “Entry into Service” process from concept to production
- Technical Presentation Skills (synthesis or details according to audience)
- Capability to support investigations
- Proficiency in written and oral English
- Knowledge of Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Previous proven working experience, preferably in engineering section
- EU Work Permit

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Knowledge of Fluid System Software skills (modeling, post processing/ results)
- Knowledge of CAD
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Fluidic design, capability to lead analysis
- Knowledge of fluidic systems (system design and CTQs identification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Clear thinking, problem analysis and solving skills
- Active Team working capabilities
- NX, MATLAB, SIMULINK
