This is a 6m FTC, looking for someone to start asap.

**Role Summary**:
The Accounts Payable Accountant will be based in Rome or Prague and will report to the AP Regional Team Leader. Also interacting with other departments, like Tax, Operations, among others.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Process invoices according to internal procedure and country requirement,
- verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
- Assemble invoices to be completed for payment
- Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
- Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files.
- Type periodic reports and other records.
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures.
- Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable),
- Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- To administer VAT returns and any other local regulatory compliance items as directed by the FD.
- To assist the FD in any budgeting or forecasting that may be required.
- Review central databases for accuracy and completeness (data cleansing),
- Assist FD in various projects such as: Subsidy request, Tax audit, Revenue project.
- Ad hoc project work for Finance Director
- Experience of Telecoms desirable
- Oracle experience an advantage
- Professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team and individually.
- Assertive individual to manage processes and inter-departmental contacts effectively

**Essential Criteria**:

- Fluent written & spoken English
- Advanced Excel knowledge and knowledge of accounting systems
- Experience in multinational environments
