Lead Manufacturing Bill of Material Specialist

As a specialist in Material Master Data (MMD) and Bill of Materials (BoM) Management, you will play a crucial role in supporting the introduction of new products, optimizing materials in terms of cost and efficiency, and maintaining accurate and updated data. In this role you will collaborate with multiple functions, optimizing and automating processes to eliminate inefficiencies and you will also be involved in leading cross-functional teams with constant attention to alignment with established metrics.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Provide assistance for new product introduction, collaborating closely with the New Product Introduction Leader (NPIL) focusing on preventing and mitigating potential issues
- Collaborate with Engineering Science, Sourcing, and Design specialists to ensure MMD aligns with design intent and meets purchasing and inventory needs to efficiently procure Long Lead-Time Items (LLTI) and raw materials
- Strategically define, create, manage, and maintain updated MMD and BoM in alignment with New Product Introduction for change in design processes to reduce inventory, costs and lead-time
- Contribute to process simplification and automation, aiming to eliminate non-value-added tasks with a lean office perspective
- Lead cross-functional teams involving other Avio Aero BoM teams and various departments to enhance processes and procedures
- Always operate in a timely manner Maintain and update MMD and BoM according to target KPIs

**Qualification/Requirements**
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical/Materials Engineering from an accredited university or college or High School Technical Diploma with strong and significant working experience in a similar technical role (engineering/manufacturing engineering/quality engineering/program management/sourcing)
- Previous working experience in technical role
- Proven ability to read technical designs effectively
- Knowledge of multilevel material configuration
- Knowledge of MRP working logics, material logistics flow, manufacturing routing instructions basics
- Good computer skills (Excel, Power Point)
- Demonstrated problems solving skills, demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen in supporting others in defining better business strategies
- Fluent Italian and Good English knowledge
- Eligible to be security-cleared under Italian National Security Framework - “Nulla Osta Segretezza” (art. 9, comma 4 Legge 3 agosto 2007, n. 124)
- Work Visa and Italian citizenship, in accordance with local regulation, is required

- Green Belt/Black Belt certification
- Knowledge of SAP/3 at production/logistics/planning level
