Reporting to HHS Program Management Manager and working within HHS Business Unit.- Main responsibilities of a Program Manager are:
- Manage Program from concept initiation to full production delivery, interfacing with internal customers and department personnel.
- Manage and lead a Program Core team, consisting of representatives across all functions within the organization.
- Respect Project Scope
- Create, plan and manage program budgets.
- Create and manage program schedules.
- Build WBS tasks with schedule and resources assignments for each phase of the program, working with functional managers.
- Organize program activities and interdepartmental meetings.
- Ensure communication across organization.
- Ensure that correct processes are followed.
- Assess risks and create risk management strategy and contingency plans.
- Report to Executive Staff, Program status and plans, as defined in the New Product Development process.

**Technical Skills - Experience**:

- Solid understanding of Stage and Gate process, preferential the knowledge of lean methodologies
- A proven track record of successfully implementing projects with multi-function teams in a very complex environment
- Understanding of software development life cycle models both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
- Balanced business/technical background:

- Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Ability to provide leadership to business and collaborate with customers to develop strategies and solutions of high business value.

**Specific knowledge**:

- Experience in using appropriate tools: Microsoft Project and all Office Tools
- Project and Product Portfolio Management (PPM) tool usage experience is a plus
- Spreadsheet and data analysis and presentation skills. Must have the ability to understand and distill a complex picture into a clearly communicated summary
- Ability to create and manage complex schedules in MS Project
- Basic understanding and use of SAP desired
- Key attitude:
- Excellent decision-making skills, especially within tight time constraints and possible limited information.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and individuals at all levels including the executive level
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
- Willing to learn new skills and be highly coachable in this fast paced environment
- Ability to be a team leader in a highly technical environment and demonstrated ability to manage by influence
- Some travel (including international) may be required

**Requirements**:
**Education: Degree in Technical or Economics area with PMP Certification highly desired**:

- Languages: Italian, Fluent English- Years of experience: 2 - 3 years in similar role.
