- Regulate and control the flow of effluent through the plant by operating and adjusting treatment plant pumps, motors, blowers, and other equipment to maintain proper plant operations.
- Maintain, compile, and update plant operations logs, gauge readings, and reports during assigned shift
- Collect and document liquid and solid samples and perform a variety of routine water quality laboratory tests; work closely with the laboratory on testing processes; monitor laboratory results
- Assist in periodic maintenance work, including disassembly and repair of pumps, valves, flow meters, and other plant equipment
- Perform general plant facility maintenance, oil, grease, and clean equipment
- Participate in the development of goals and procedures for wastewater treatment activities
- Maintain factory cleanliness & orderliness at all times.
- Perform related duties as required
- Carry out continuous plant improvement program
- To identify and rate aspects of the departmental activities and develop programs where necessary, to help control those aspects that could have adverse impacts on the environment.
