Operations Manager

Desotec's mission is to protect our planet. We provide end-to-end purification solutions for pollution in air, water and other gases and liquids. We do this by supplying mobile activated carbon filters to our B2B customers all over Europe. We recycle our own saturated filters by taking back the spent activated carbon for reactivation, making our filter solutions circular.

As an Operations Manager, you are an entrepreneur leading and supporting the day-to-day operations at our site in Origgio (near Milan), in close collaboration with our sales team. This entails the following responsibilities:
You support and keep an overview of all operational activities on site and take action when and where needed-
- You ensure all operations run smoothly on site:- You guarantee quality & safety of all operations
- You ensure an excellent service towards our customers
- You manage our stocks, filter fleet & staff
- You develop and monitor the planning, timing and budget of the site
- You lead projects and make sure they are delivered in time and within budget-
- In close collaboration with your international colleagues, you define and implement new or optimized procedures-
- You continuously ensure the treatment of waste on site (from a legal perspective) by:- Following up on renewal/changes of licenses and permits
- Setting up notifications with our customers in adjacent countries as well as the necessary authorities
- You can stand in as a back-up for members of the logistics & administration team-

**Profile**:
- You have a relevant educational degree (Master in Logistics, office, trade,...)-
- You have experience as an operations manager or as logistics/supply chain manager-
- Knowledge on waste administration is a nice to have
- You have an interest in business development-
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are hands on-
- You integrate structure and clarity in your daily operation-
- You are able to collaborate with other teams to respond quickly to problems or challenges-
- You have the courage to question and analyze things with a critical view in order to optimize them-
- You can communicate and implement changes in a fluent and open manner-
- You are immune to stress-
- You are flexible and offer support when and where needed-
