**LC-UPLC-Mass Spectrometry Applications Specialist - Italy**

The role will be based in
**Sesto San Giovanni (Milano)** and reports to
**National System Sales Manager-Italy.**

**Milano / Lobardia, North Italy.**

**Responsibilities**:
The main responsibilities include:
As a member of the Support and Application Specialist Group of the Systems Sales organization in Italy, Southern Europe Region, the primary responsibility will be the on-site sales force pre-sales support, perform Waters solutions demonstrations of LC-UPLC-MS (both current and legacy instrumentation) at the Waters Italy Showroom Centers or at customer site.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Solutions customer training
- Representing Waters at Customers’ meetings, conferences and seminars
- Presenting Waters products and workflow solutions at meetings, conferences and seminars
- Supporting, with instrument demonstrations, the Waters EU demo laboratories
- Compliance with the Waters Quality Management system and ISO requirements
- Cross regional travel to support Customers and other members of the Southern Region support group
- Act as a bridge between Corporate Product Marketing and local organization in the introduction of new technologies both internally and to customers
- Design and execute field activities aimed to develop and consolidate the LC/MS business in markets based in Solutions selling strategies as Food & Environment, Pharma and Biopharma
- Remote customers support using i-Assist, Teamviewer etc

Qualifications:
**Education**:

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Science;
**Experience**:

- Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience, ideally in LC/MS/Informatics/LC-MS;
- Experience in a laboratory, with a background in chromatography and mass spectrometry;
- Exposure within relevant field/industry;
**Competencies**:

- High degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Pharmacy/Life Science discipline
- 3 years hands-on experience minimum in liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Experience in developing and using LC/MS/MS methods is required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong capability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage, preferably French, Spanish or German

**Travel**:

- The role will require a minimum of 50% travel
- A clean driving license and a valid passport will be required;
- This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for activities such as governance of department, local business support, meetings and training.
