Alfa Laval Engineering & Supply (E&S) Monza, Marine Division is looking for an Operations Manager (Regular contract, full time) for our Monza site.

Who you are

As Operations Manager within E&S Monza organization, you will lead a team of professionals who are manufacturing Marine Separation and Fuel Supply Systems portfolio of modularized solutions. In this role you will play a crucial role in Alfa Laval’s ambition of shaping the future of marine fuel handling technology. We're looking for a customer driven, dynamic, Operations Manager to lead our team in developing and driving the business forward.

The position reports to the Engineering & Supply Manager and is responsible for coordinating people, in compliance with the objectives of safety, quality, service, cost, production, productivity, control of raw materials.

What about the job

In your role you will:

- Manage a team of about 20 people covering all operations areas as warehouse, engineering, welding, painting, assembly, and testing.
- Secure performance, development, and output of the unit, including financial responsibility.
- Set and follow up targets for the unit, broken down from factory level.
- Secure safety of the people, processes, and manufactured/delivered products (quality, delivery, cost).
- Secure Standardized work & SOP.
- Support and initiate supplier development activities together with support functions.
- Participate in new equipment prototyping and give input to existing product development programs.
- Secure the result of problem solving and continuous improvement activities in the unit, including Lean Six Sigma and 5S.
- Implement and maintain the supply chain processes within the unit.
- Be part of the E&S Management team and contribute to the overall performance of E&S.

Professional Qualifications

You must have:

- At least 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Management and/or Company Management
- Fluent in English and Italian

- University Degree in Technical area (e.g. Mechanical Engineering) or MBA or other relevant formal education.
- Advanced manufacturing knowledge, Lean Manufacturing Experience and Six Sigma knowledge.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and handling entry to senior level professionals.
- Proven track record leading teams to successful product delivery and projects to demonstrate productivity.
- Willingness to raise standards each year to drive organizational excellence and process excellence.
- Significant leadership experience.
- Track record of improving team performance and work practice through team mentoring.
- Leaders who consistently make sound and timely judgments in customer centric environment.
