**What to Expect**:

- This position supports supplier source inspections in Genoa and Venice, Italy, with an approximate commitment of three days per month. The role focuses on inspecting large machined stainless steel structures, to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.

**What You'll Do**:

- Perform visual inspections of machined stainless steel structures, ensuring sharp edges are broken, no burrs or foreign object debris (FOD) are present, weld surfaces meet required conditions, and there are no scratches, dings, porosity, void pockets, or planar indications exceeding 1 mm in depth.
- Review documentation, including dimensional data and non-destructive test results, to confirm compliance with specifications.
- Work directly with suppliers to maintain quality standards and adherence to engineering requirements.

**What You'll Need**:

- Extensive experience (5+ years) in mechanical inspection within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
- Strong proficiency in ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Expertise in welding inspection and non-destructive testing, including UT, PT, VT, and ET.
- Attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to supplier locations in Genoa and Venice, Italy, as needed.
