**Duties**:

- Serves as a board-certified Family Practice Medical Doctor for a U.S. Army Health Clinic, expert medical consultant, and provides medical consultation and advice to the Non-Clinical Leadership and represents and assists the Commander when necessary.
- Participates in the medical, administrative, and management functions of the Medical Healthcare Clinic and is responsible for the professional and administrative functions within the unit.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Army Medical Department corporate leaders to develop operational policy and healthcare initiatives.
- Directs, controls, overseas the clinical work of the command with full authority to direct subordinate managers and support personnel within the clinical departments.
- Prepares and presents justification for organization structure, manpower and personnel requirements to accomplish assigned mission and functions.
- Advises officials with broader and higher responsibilities on problems involving the relationship of the organization to broader programs and its impact on such programs.
- Establishes performance standards, evaluates subordinate managers and support personnel, and reviews evaluations made by subordinate managers.
- Provides or makes provision for development and training or cross training, consulting with specialists on training needs and deciding on training problems related to the organization.
- Serves as a Family Practice Medical Doctor and provides comprehensive and continuing health and medical care services, e.g., diagnosis, treatment, prevention, therapy, maintenance, and rehabilitation to individual patients.

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete and maintain credentialing and privileging requirements.

**Degree**: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.**Licensure**: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States-
