In Vitro Biology Associate Scientist in Disease Cell Model Group, "Oligonucleotides" Team 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT This position is for a motivated in vitro biology junior scientist with skills in molecular biology to work in an interactive drug discovery team. The research activity will include the profiling of therapeutic oligonucleotides in a suitable cellular models (e.g. immortalized cell lines, iPSC-derived cells), according to the project needs. The profiling will provide efficacy data for Hit selection, Hit validation, lead optimization of ASO-based projects. Analysis of events downstream of target silencing may be part of her/his task (e.g. WB, immunofluorescence, etc.). Primary Responsibilities: - Maintenance of cell culture needed for the project execution- Managing in autonomy orders of lab material required for performing experimental activities- Performing the test of oligonucleotides, with the appropriate delivery method and evaluation of efficacy using Molecular Biology methods (RNA extraction, qPCR) and suitable data analysis tools (e.g. Genedata)- Handling of oligonucleotides in 96w and 384w format (dilution, assay plate preparation)- Knowledge of principles of oligonucleotides-based therapeutic approaches- Autonomy in experimental execution, data analysis and reporting Required skills or attitudes: - Flexible, proactive, energetic and a team player, able to navigate in a complex and very dynamic environment- Ability to multitask- Positive attitude and sense of urgency- Ability to learn from others and at the same time open to communicate, share and discuss.- Good written English
