Product & Design Ops Lead

**About the role**

As a Product and DesignOps Lead at Mondly, you will be at the heart of driving our product's operating model design, design operations, and design systems forward. This role will empower you to elevate our design system to unparalleled heights by conceiving processes and structures that cater to our evolving needs. As a leader in ProductOps, you will steer the development of comprehensive documentation and efficient processes to bolster our team's growth and cohesion. You will collaborate closely with EngineeringOps to enhance our operational model practices, refining and evolving standard operating procedures to ensure alignment and optimal productivity. In addition, you will pioneer our user research efforts, conducting rigorous user testing and in-depth research to fuel data-driven decisions and influence our product's direction.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive ProductOps and DesignOps strategy that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
- Lead the creation and implementation of a unified design system, establishing guidelines and best practices for our team to follow.
- Drive the development and documentation of efficient processes, systems, and standards for the product and engineering teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other business stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational practices.
- Conduct regular user research and testing initiatives to gather insights and feedback, utilizing these findings to influence product decisions and roadmaps.
- Mentor and support team members in their professional growth, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Measure the impact of DesignOps and ProductOps on key business metrics, constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the prioritization of design and development initiatives, ensuring resources are effectively allocated according to business needs.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the design and product operations field, implementing innovative strategies and tools to keep the company at the forefront of the industry.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating updates and promoting understanding of the ProductOps and DesignOps functions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies in the execution of design and product operations tasks.
- Lead by example, establishing a high-performance culture and instilling our values in day-to-day operations.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Design, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in a product or design operations role in a large tech company, with a track record of managing and executing large projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional knowledge and expertise in using design tools, particularly Figma, to develop advanced design systems.
- Solid experience in establishing efficient operational processes and practices in product and engineering teams.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate teams.
- Proficient understanding of modern product development methodologies, such as Agile or Lean.
- Strong experience in conducting and leveraging user research and testing to inform product decisions.
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to navigate complex decision-making, prioritizing among competing opportunities, balancing customer needs with business priorities, and articulating the rationale behind decisions.
