**Position:**:We are looking for a **Medical Officer** who is passionate about taking Health Care IT to a new level of usefulness. Dedalus puts extra focus on in-house medical expertise and experience, with the goal to ensure continuous clinical guidance throughout the complete software design process and product life cycle.

In your role, you will interact with research & development (R&D) teams, service and support consultants and many parts of our product related organization, helping them to understand what clinicians expect the software to do, and how this should be done in a safe and efficient way.

Your ability to share your clinical experience and expertise on how people in Italian health care actually work is paramount to achieve this. Providing medical knowledge (and your skills in finding and assessing appropriate sources to underpin it) allow to base design decisions on state-of-the-art medicine.

Understanding Italian specifities in medical practice, including Italian medical language both in its formal and colloquial variant, will be crucial to build intuitive user experience and to improve natural language processing (NLP) capabilities of our products.

**Main Task**:

- Supports R&D with medical expertise throughout software design & life cycle
- Involves in clinical validation of Dedalus’ products and NLP models, including training of the Italian language model
- Describes scenarios and use cases to illustrate practical needs of clinical users
- Works cross-functionally to ensure the highest clinical quality and relevance of our products and data
- Establishes and nurtures relationships to external medical experts
- Informs on specifities of medicine and medical practice in Italy
- Is an active member of Dedalus Medical community of practice, and proactively shares knowledge, experience, and lessons learned

**Requirements**:

- Tech-informed physician with significant clinical background
- Demonstrated experience in practical clinical work
- Ability to speak and present to audiences
- Understanding of clinical workflows and processes
- Ability to convey clinical needs and necessities to IT people
- Excellent interpersonal / communication / collaboration skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Able to travel as needed - up to 50%
- Very good English language skills
