**Strategic Policy Manager, Southern Europe Responsibilities**:

- A special emphasis will be on coordinating cross-functional initiatives and plans jointly promoted by the departments sitting in Italy and aimed at demonstrating the positive economic and societal impact of Meta in the country. More specifically: - The Strategic Policy Manager will work closely with the business, comms and public policy management in Italy to identify and implement partnerships and events with relevant think tanks, research centers and trade associations. As project managers, they will be in charge of setting up internal and external meetings, as well as coordinating respective team responsibilities and deadlines - This role will also be in charge of drafting unified yearly plans of activities for Italy, coordinating contributions from the various teams and making sure they are aligned toward joint goals. - Finally, the Strategic Policy Manager will be in charge of supporting smooth communication and exchange of relevant information among the various cross-functional teams operating within Italy.
- The Strategic Policy Manager will also be in charge of coordinating information and best practice-sharing across the various Public Policy teams sitting in Southern Europe, also supporting them in their interactions with the central and functional Public Policy teams. More specifically: - They will be supporting the Public Policy Director for Southern Europe in the definition of relevant agenda items and speakers for Southern Europe team meetings - They will be managing a Southern Europe “Knowledge Base” including relevant talking points, presentations and resources to support the teams’ advocacy activities and making sure that teams are aware of any relevant announcements regarding product launches/changes and other important information pertaining to the day by day work of local public policy teams - They will be acting as the main Point of Contact between the central teams and the local teams, ensuring smooth exchange of information and by doing so helping local teams better manage contributions and deadlines
- Tasks will also include supporting prep for speeches, panels and meetings for the Director of Public Policy for Southern Europe.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of experience working in Public policy, Public Relations, CSR or a related field - Experience in project management/coordinating cross-functional projects in complex organizations - A flexible mindset that thrives in a fast-moving environment with a strong do-it-yourself culture - Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in Italian and in English - A track record of writing and delivering position papers and presentations on relevant topics - Strong strategic and creative mindset - Detailed understanding and passion for Meta’s mission, products and policies
