**Role Description**
The **Technical Account Manager** in coordination with Commercial Account Manager is responsible for the sales, promotion, maintenance and development of clients in their assigned area and sector, specifically focusing on the technical aspects of the sales process.
**Main Activities and Responsibilities**
- Develop effective relationships with clients and actively seek new product opportunities
- Prepare technical presentations on cosmetic formulations for the client’s R&D department
- Provide technical support to the client’s R&D department
- Visit clients for high-profit projects, building relationships and technical reliability
- Follow the sales cycle (proposals, samples, visits, etc.)
- Proactively develop new leads and monitor competitive activity
- Represent suppliers and effectively exchange market information among key business partners, maintaining compliance standards
- Continuously monitor the market by mapping technological innovations, regulatory updates, and relevant legislation
- Keep the CRM system updated, generating “Target Business Opportunities” to ensure growth
**Working Method**
- Establish new and maintain existing relationships with clients
- Monitor the market (products, opportunities, competitors, new suppliers, new clients, etc.)
- Identify potential markets in Italy for assigned products
- Research and identify potential clients for products or services
- Visit potential and existing clients
- Prepare presentations explaining products to clients and prospects
- Manage and interpret customer requirements
- Provide post-sales support and technical services, resolving customer issues
- Provide technical documentation for products
- Collaborate with other sales team members and technical experts
- Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing or technical events
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product training
- Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or learn about industry developments
- Stay informed on industry news and trends, products, competitors, existing and emerging technologies, and the latest product line developments
- Provide the sales team with technical support on specific product lines or projects, working closely with the product management team
- Develop direct and close relationships with clients’ technical teams to promote and develop the product portfolio
- Prepare technical webinars for clients
- Ensure that the perspectives of clients and suppliers are a driving force behind business decisions and activities
- Anticipate and effectively meet the needs of clients and suppliers, taking responsibility for their satisfaction and loyalty
**Requirements and Experience**
- Degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, or a related chemical field
- Understanding of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for designing and producing various cosmetic goods
- Knowledge of the personal care market and relevant raw materials
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts at an appropriate level
- Strong goal-oriented mindset
- High motivation, willingness to take initiative, curiosity, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and ability to work in both local and international contexts
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent Knowledge of English
