**About the role**:
The European Trade Show and Events Manager is responsible for planning, managing and executing flagship (IFAT, ACHEMA, Pollutec) and midi tradeshows within European core markets. In total, this is approximately ~15 shows per year. Reporting into the EU Manager, Marketing Campaigns, this role is part of a high-energy regional marketing team, working to deliver on exceptional brand touchpoints that delight customers and engage stakeholders while growing Hach market share and brand equity. This role will work closely with the Global Tradeshow and Events Manager, who will provide brand and tradeshow strategy guidance. The position requires strong EU tradeshow management and execution skills, as well as solid budgeting and lead tracking experience. This role is required to travel up to 40%.
**In this role, you will**:
- Develop and manage Hach’s EU tradeshow/event calendar to meet business needs.
- Plan and execute flagship tradeshows such as IFAT, ACHEMA, and others as necessary.
- Be responsible for the entire event life cycle of planning, implementation and follow-up/debrief. This may include concept, briefing/debriefing, cost analysis, project plans, selecting/hiring vendor partners, venue sourcing/selection, contract negotiations, onsite support, accommodations, amenities, food and beverage, transportation, event registration, production and attendee surveys and event reporting.
- Manage the EU Tradeshow budget, including forecasting and reconciling at month end.
- Support prioritized internal events in region, as assigned, with support from the Global Tradeshow and Events manager.
- Create event reports and analyze results to provide recommendations on Hach’s tradeshow and events practices, maintaining institutional knowledge of our event history.
- Collaborate with digital marketing managers and campaign teams in region for pre/post event communications and language implementation.
**Are you qualified?**
**Education and Experience**:
- Multiple years of experience managing tradeshows and events
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
**Knowledge and skills**:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SharePoint
- Adept at preparing and delivering presentations to senior leaders. Strong budget and accounting skills.
