Head of External Communications and Patient Advocacy
Join us at AstraZeneca as the **Head of External Communications and Patient Advocacy**, where you will be reporting to the VP Market Access&Government Affairs. This role is a unique opportunity to lead external Corporate and TA communication and Patient Advocacy for AZ Italy. You will be at the forefront of our mission to make our pipeline accessible to patients, ensuring the fastest possible access to the best treatments and reducing inequalities. As the **Head of External Communications and Patient Advocacy**, you will lead the local Patient Advocacy function and team, driving and overseeing the implementation of the advocacy strategy consistently with the policy objectives of AZ brands and TAs. You will identify, engage and collaborate with the most relevant patients associations and groups of citizens, according to the AZ strategy and values. You will also lead the External communication team to define and implement the corporate, TA and brand communication strategy. You will be responsible for managing all media relationships and events agencies, working to manage efficiently activities from an operational and budget perspectives.
**Essential Skills**
- Knowledge of global Pharmaceutical market
- Experience managing Public Relations or Communications in a number of brands and at different stages of the lifecycle
- Understanding and experience of digital and social media
**Desiderable Skills**
- Experience in communications at the global level
- Substantial experience of healthcare communications or Public Relations in both national and global roles
