The role is responsible for the bookkeeping and accounting activities, controlling, compliance and taxation, including the preparation of the annual financial statements for Italy, according to Italian General accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and submission of the group financial pack according to IFRS.

**Posizione**:
**Key accountabilities / responsibilities**

**Accounting & Controlling, Tax and Finance support**
- Regular bookkeeping, in co-ordination with Group Accounting.
- Review the monthly profit and loss account to ensure revenue and costs are correctly booked and reported.
- Preparation of profit centre analysis, budget and forecasts.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Co-ordination with auditors and external accounting firm for the preparation of the local financial statements.
- Prepare annual reporting packages under international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Interface with external professional advisors as required (e.g. auditors, tax advisors, lawyers etc.).
- Coordinate vendors’ payment process.
- Debtors reporting and aged debt profiling each month; oversee the dunning process and follow up on overdue amounts.
- Support Treasury department with any treasury matters
- Align with external consultants as well as with internal Tax department on the preparation of the annual tax return and monthly VAT reports, including its submissions.
- Ensure correct tax and customs reporting to Italian authorities.
- Providing tax and statistical reporting to statutory authorities
- Tax & VAT balance sheet reconciliations.
- SAP super user for both accounting and reporting purposes.
- Responsible for Payroll reconciliations activities
- Ensure incoming invoices are processed and approved by the relevant stakeholders according to Group procedures and delegation of authorities.
- Drafting and negotiating of minor purchasing contracts with local vendors with support from legal and MD
- Provide guidance and support to the operations staff relevant to the finance accounting processes and procedures.

**Requisiti**:
**Career / Job experience**
- The job position requires at least five years of accounting and/or controlling experience, preferably in an international environment.
- Experience of financial control of multi-million EURO projects is essential, including working knowledge of the construction industry and accounting for WIP on long term projects.
- Excellent analytical ability, with a feel for numbers as well as strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
- Ability to operate, influence and counsel at the most senior level within the function and to business clients.
- Equally important is excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly motivated, business oriented and used to work independently within a matrix based organisation.
- Italian, excellent English skills and ideally German.

**Education and qualification**
- Bachelor of Finance or similar.
- Experience of the financial control and reporting requirements.
- Good working knowledge of SAP + BCS.
- Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
