- One of Europe’s to private credit fund is building out their Milan office and keen on hiring an Investment Associate to join the team.This firm provides companies and institutions financing solutions on a relationship basis and have a track record spanning over 10 years for delivering top decile risk-adjusted returns. Today, this firm has just under €10bn of AUM across different credit strategies including Senior Direct Lending, Opportunistic Credit and Impact debt.
**As an Investment Associate, you will**:
- Assist senior executives of the deal team throughout the whole lifecycle of the investment, from sourcing to exit.
- Collaborate in the performance of due diligence, credit analysis and financial analysis.
- Participate in the preparation of investment recommendations and recommendations for the firm’s Executive Committee.
- Participate in the negotiations of transactional legal documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of transaction documents, marketing materials and memorandums.
- Support the Portfolio and Finance teams in the closing of new transactions.
- Support senior executives in staff meetings, management meetings and investment committees.
- Develop relationships with the management team of portfolio companies.
- Lead internal follow-up of screening of prospective investment opportunities as well as tracking of the firm’s investment pipeline.
- Participate in the internal monitoring of portfolio companies including review of monthly operating results and updating relevant financial models and performance reports, including ESG initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate deal database and document filing systems and ensure compliance with records retention procedures.
- Additional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior management.
**Currently, you must have**:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree required from a top tier institution.
- Business/native level Italian skills in addition to English.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Leveraged Finance, Debt Advisory or a front office Credit-focused team - this position is for a 1st year or 2nd year Associate position (3-yr cycle).
- Participation in the Chartered Financial Analysts® (CFA) program is desirable
