Job Overview

Within our approachable, friendly and team-based way of working, you will collaborate with the Team that advises on a full spectrum of financial products in the debt capital markets area, including investment grade and non-investment grade standalone issuances, Euro Medium Term Note and Euro Commercial Paper programmes, US bond issuances and programmes, regulatory capital issuances, hybrid securities issuances, convertible and exchangeable bonds, sovereign debt, liability management transactions and retail securities offers.

Although your primary focus will be DCM, you will also have the opportunity to work on Equity Capital Markets matters including IPOs, Rights Issues, Block Trades etc. as the English law team frequently advises in this area too.Moreover, our team frequently collaborates with other parts of the Global Financial Markets group on cross-practice transactions such as loan bond transactions, high yield issuances and structured products.Our way of working is based on an international environment with a high level of collaboration and frequent contacts with other Clifford Chance offices around the world with the aim of guaranteeing the best possible service to our clients.

Who you will work with

Our Debt Capital Markets Team is currently composed of two partners, one counsel and a number of associates qualified to practice in Italy, England & Wales and New York who act on many of the ground-breaking DCM deals in Italy and have become trusted advisers to the corporations and financial institutions that define the global markets.

Your career experience so far

You will be a Solicitor qualified to practice in England & Wales (with up to 3 years post qualification experience) with Debt Capital Markets experience in a top tier international law firm or a primary Italian law firm and a passion for the Capital Markets sector.

You will be a self-starter with a strong academic background, a team player with excellent communication, analytical and drafting skills and a high level of commercial awareness, being able to contribute to deals while managing different work-streams.

You will have excellent English language skills and be able to work comfortably in English, both in drafting legal documents and advice and in communicating with clients and counterparties.
