Automotive System Architect

Are you a skilled Automotive System Architect with expertise in function deployment, system engineering, requirements engineering, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)? Join us at FEV and lead the design and development of cutting-edge automotive systems. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to define functions and requirements, hence engineer complex systems that meet high quality standards.
- Define and refine system specifications and requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry standards
- Utilize your expertise in MBSE tools and techniques to create and maintain system models that capture both functional and non-functional aspects
- Drive the translation of high-level requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the development process
- Champion the use of system engineering best practices, contributing to the creation of robust and efficient architectures that meet performance, safety, and reliability targets
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, tailoring architectural solutions to address specific challenges and requirements
- Contribute to proposal development by offering technical insights and expertise, helping to secure new business opportunities
- Participate actively in design reviews, validation processes, and testing activities to ensure the successful realization of architectural designs
- Master's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- More than 3 years of experience as an Automotive System Architect with a strong focus on function deployment, system engineering, requirements engineering, and MBSE
- Proficiency in using MBSE tools (e.g. Cameo, Vector PREEvision, etc.) and methodologies
- Sound knowledge of system engineering principles, requirement management, and best practices in function deployment
- Knowledge of requirements capturing tools, e.g. Polarion, DOORS, Codebeamer
- Strong problem-solving abilities with aptitude for translating complex requirements into practical architectural solutions
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety and security protocols relevant to automotive systems, such as SysML, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ISO 21434
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and meeting quality objectives
- Fluent English, German is a plus
