Based in our current location in San Giovanni Valdarno (AR), Italy, we are looking for a Product Line Technical Product Lead for the Product Engineering Global team. **This position reports to**: Production Engineering Manager **Your responsibilities**: - Go-to technical person for the specific Global and Local product line. Go-to product owner (technical) for local support to service/quality (local/global). - Engineering support and coordination for local and global market for actual and future product variants. - Own and Coordinate Engineering support for the global footprint expansion i.e. Factories in China, EU, NAM. Own and Coordinate the Engineering support to legacy products. Own and Coordinate the Engineering support to specific OEM developments. - Available to short / medium time spent in different manufacturing locations to align with local experts and product architects, local Operation functions. - Variants handling - ownership of the creation and maintenance of product codes in PLM and Master data. - Facilitate and coordinate (Lead) the engineering activities for the whole product family e.g. Cost cut, shortages, quality issues. - Address and escalate lacks of resources/competences in specific areas HW/SW for product engineering work. - Translate commercial requirements HW/SW into tech requirement specifications for >G5 cases (new features to R&D, improvement existing to PE). - Manage, in agreement with the Product line Product Manager, the tech work related to engineering HW/SW. - Engage with all relevant stakeholders and input givers including customers and internal ABB functions to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations for the specific product line. - Oversee work progress, identify and manage technical issues and drive the teams performance to ensure timely delivery and high safety and quality standards. - Ensure that the Local project engineering teams are adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs. Line up with local/global line managers to ensure correct assignments of tasks within the teams, define relevant performance metrics. - Project-manage the development and deployment of engineering solutions, formulating plans and allocating resources to meet agreed operative targets. **Your background**: - Master degree in Automation, Electronics or Industrial Engineering. - At least 5 years of experience in industrial environment. Previous experience in managing projects or teams. - Excellent knowledge of Italian and English language. - Willingness to travel. - A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies. - A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and good written and spoken communication skills. - Proactivity, teamwork skills, problem solving and result orientation will complete your profile. **More about us**:
