The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving the country sales goals through a collaborative relationship with country-based distribution channels, the regional channel manager as well as maintaining strong customer relationships. The Country Business Manager will report to and communicate weekly with the APAC General Manager, as well as other Global team members regarding activities and opportunities within the country. **Responsibilities**: - Act as the conduit between local market dynamics and RMB - Prepare and be accountable for the country sales strategy and performance - Make recommendations and implement actions plans - Conduct regular customer meetings, alone and with distributors - Motivate distributors to sell RMB products by connecting and refining RMB’s value proposition to local market needs - Report on distributor and competitor local sales and marketing activities - Maintain a high degree of knowledge of company products and policies and ensure distributor training needs are met. Coordinate training requirements with sales ops/technical/training support - Manage install base consumption - Manage country sales pipeline utilizing tools such as SFDC - Develop a country plan to achieve or exceed territory growth per company plan through selling new instruments and consumables. - Meet regularly to discuss product and pipeline support. Ensure a high standard of customer experience is delivered by the channel. - Communicate weekly with the APAC GM, as well as Global team members regarding activities and opportunities within the assigned territory. - Develop key relationships with the CSM staff to learn of ongoing customer requirements and process updates - Assist sales forecasting for current and future business - Collaborate with Channel Manager regarding country distributor channel management - Collaborate and be accountable for customer projects pre and post-sales **Qualifications**: - _Strong passion for sales success_ - _Science degree, microbiology preferred_ - _8+ years in-market sales experience - _Fluent in local language and a strong English level (IELTS equiv. >6.5)_ - _Industrial Microbiology product sales experience, preferably pharmaceutical capital sales_ - _Proven successful sales record, achieving, and beating annual targets_ - _Experienced at working with channel partners_ - _Experienced at managing cross-functional relationships_ **Preferred Qualifications**: - Project Management experience - CRM (SFDC) experience
