Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We are looking for a Global Commodity Leader - Raw Material to join our offices in Milan. Reporting to the Global Purchasing Raw Materials VP, you will:

- Define and implement the commodity strategy at global level, influencing and ensuring cooperation and alignment with regional teams and internal stakeholders & peers- Negotiate with key suppliers defining the appropriate conditions for maximizing value creation for the Group- Lead and support commodity-related initiatives at regional/local level, in cooperation with the relevant internal stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Sales, Quality)

You will also:

- Negotiate agreements and contracts, including definition of global-scale relationships, and manage framework agreements in place- Define guidelines for sourcing events at regional/cross-regional level, capturing available synergies and in alignment with the commodity strategy- Govern the supply base and suppliers’ performance (including service level, quality, risk and compliance monitoring), ensuring the appropriate supplier selection, qualification, development and overall supplier management are in place. Support local teams in resolution of key issues arising in the supply of goods to the plants-
- Lead market trend analysis for the commodity and develop insights for business stakeholders, including support to purchasing teams at global and local level in budgeting/forecasting and price evolution analysis for the commodities in scope- Lead the relationship with R&D to govern key qualification programs and innovation initiatives, including Design-To-Cost programs and innovation workshops with suppliers

You are the right fit if you have/are:

- Fluent in English and Italian
- 7/8 years professional experience as a Commodity buyer within multinational companies with a matrix organization
- A Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related Engineering Degrees
- Knowledge of plastics, metal or chemicals, and contracts
- Proficient in data analytics
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent in building strong relationships at all level of the organization, and able to work in multi-functional and international teams
- Able to meet strict deadline and work under pressure
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
