Microsoft Advertising is a worldwide Sales, Marketing and Services organization on the cutting edge of the digital advertising industry. We are the engine that powers the buying and selling of digital advertising across all aspects of our digital portfolio including our high-growth search engine Bing and our native offering Microsoft Advertising Network (MSAN).
As part of the Continental Europe team of Global Strategic Sales (GSS), we empower the largest advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through paid search on the Microsoft Advertising platform as well as audience solutions. We are seeking top performing Client Directors with sales and digital advertising experience to become a strategic leader within a high performing team who will drive revenue and increase client satisfaction, cultivate strong relationships and deliver customized product solutions with an assigned book of business consisting of Microsoft’s highly valued Retail advertisers based in Italy.
Our team allows Microsoft to better serve our advertisers in the Strategic Sales Segment. This role focuses on partnering with local and global Retail brands, their agencies and other stakeholders to maximize the ROI of their digital media spend and to enable them in their digital transformation. You are dedicated to increasing revenue and improving customer satisfaction through Strategic account planning. This role adds value by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships anchored on connections with C-Level executive and Business and Technical Decision Makers in customers’ organizations.
The role develops actionable territory plans, business
- and account plans laying out clear revenue and customer satisfaction growth strategies. Success is measured by Digital media invest, increased share of wallet and increased customer satisfaction. This role is unique in its ability to effectively leverage technology and members of the extended virtual sales team to build strong relationships with the accounts in its portfolio.

**Responsibilities**:
- The Client Director will be responsible for bringing in new business to meet/exceed new business revenue targets
- Make outbound calls into new competitive accounts
- Leverage internal and external resources to drive net new business through high conversion rate of sales leads
- Create and maintain a robust Prospecting Plan including Territory Management and Prospecting objectives
- Adopt Microsoft’s culture of sales excellence, including established sales processes, pipeline management, forecast accuracy, maintain tool and reporting accountabilities, and a focus on core role KPI’s.
- For acquired customers, develop quality customer plans laying out revenue and customer satisfaction growth strategies and partnering with Account Specialist to manage for 6 months in order to reach full graduation potential
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer satisfaction, remove blockers, and create a seamless customer experience.
- Act as an ambassador and representative for Microsoft in the advertising and media community.
- Develop network of strong relationships with key search and media industry influencers, customers and partners. Develop and maintain a high
- level understanding of the search industry and trends affecting or influencing the marketplace.

**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 10 years’ online media or Search Engine Marketing Sales and Service experience required
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred
- Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity, communications skills and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue goals or targets
- Experience establishing and nurturing senior-level, long-term relationships with digital marketing executives
- Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and deliver customized, customer-focused pitches and solutions
