Supplier Development Leader Europe

If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an appealing role for you Based in our Lugagnano Facility, Italy, The Supplier Development Leader Europe will be responsible for supporting Isolation Valves business by improving the Supply Chain performance and implementing strategies.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:

- Support Isolation Valves business by improving the Supply Chain performance from a Cost, Speed, Delivery and Cash perspective;
- Implement Supplier Development Strategy and monitor key performance indicators, Lead Time (LT), Requested Delivery Service Level (RDSL), and Defective Parts per Million (DPPM);
- Identify opportunities, develop plans and timelines with existing suppliers to improve their ability to meet the required performance;
- Work directly with suppliers using Perfect Execution concepts and structured problem solving to implement improvement programs;
- Actively participate in the monthly Buyer Report Out meeting to support P&IC managers, buyers/planners and quality managers through fast resolution of escalated / repetitive supplier delivery and quality issues, including root causes countermeasures (RCCM) and long term effective corrective actions;
- Work closely with Product Supply Chain Leaders and SBUs to understand Lead Time requirements and drive Lead Time reduction and replenishment mode change programs;
- Optimize the current external supplier base by authorizing new additions, driving supplier consolidation initiatives aiming to focus business to the best suppliers only and making recommendation for new sources and innovation;
- Manage the Grow-Maintain-Exit supplier strategy Identify supplier leverage opportunities outside of Isolation Valves.

**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, Technical or Business;
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Perfect Execution, Continuous Improvement / Lean, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering, Materials management, Sourcing;
- Strong negotiation (internally and externally) and project management skills;
- Root Cause analysis experience;
- Must be self-sufficient and requires little, if any, direct supervision or guidance;
- Capability in planning and analytics and structured problem solving;
- Fluent in English, and the Italian language is an advantage;
- Experience with Microsoft Office skills, especially MS-Excel skills; ERPs, preferably with SAP or Oracle in planning and/or purchasing;
- Extensive travel is required (30%);
**PREFFERED EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Six sigma black belt;
- Knowledge of Casting and Machining Processes;
- Strong negotiation (internally and externally) and project management skills;
- Build Collaborative Relationships (both with suppliers and internal customers).
