**MISSION**

Senior Purchasing Specialist is the interface for project management in coordination with cross functional product development team. Is responsible for managing all the activities and tasks related to projects workflow, accountable for project targets on cost investments and lead time. Will directly manage the purchase of prototypes according to commodity strategy and will works in coordination with Plant Launch Management during the phase-in of the project.

**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**:
**Project Management**
- Prioritize Commodity workload according to projects schedule and economic targets
- Schedules the sourcing phase for strategic components according to the project development timing.
- Coordinates with R&D the early involvement of suppliers in the launch of new products and projects
- Track and report all purchasing activities related to supply readiness in the prototype and product launch phase

**Purchasing**
- Responsible for the negotiation process of the prototype components following Commodity strategies
- Promote the best practices and purchasing processes execution in adherence with the project specific targets
- Identify process optimization and drive team and stakeholders (internal and external) through a continuous improvement
- Coordinate local buyers guaranteeing a continous info sharing on the project status and priorities
