The General Ledger Accountant operates in a Shared Service Center (SSC), based in Milan, providing administrative services for some Group legal entities in EMEA.

Within the SSC, the GL is primarily responsible for the General Ledger accountants, prepare journale entries, reconcile financial statements, accounts and revenues, ensure data accuracy.

Your Tasks
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile financial statements, accounts and revenues
- Enter deposits into the accounting software
- Verify that accounts and amounts are correctly entered
- Perform the period end activities
- Other ad hoc tasks in the area of GL (e.g. reporting activities)
- Ensure the respect of service levels, performance metrics, policies and procedures (including internal controls)
- Manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders, such as locale finance and controlling, treasury, AP supervisor, Global Head of accounting and controlling, external auditors

Your Profile
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Strong experience in GL/Finance Roles
- Microsoft Office suite experience with proficiency in Excel
- Fast and accurate reporting skills
- Excellent command of Italian and English
- Good knowledge of French and/or German will be a plus
- D365 knowledge will be a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and process large volume activity
- Willingness to assist team as needed to obtain department goals
- Strong customer service approach to managing daily inquiries
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, friendly, team-oriented work environment
- Available for overtime and, when necessary, for business trips both in Italy and abroad
