**The Company**

Our client is a worldwide key player for industrial sealing technology. Their products are used in the oil and gas industry, refining technology, the petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, food processing, power, mining, pulp & paper, water and many more. In Italy more than 100 employees in 3 regional service centers, commercial and administrative offices, a production site and a laboratory for material analysis, guarantee fast and customer-oriented assistance.

**The Position**

The Operations Director will directly report to the Managing Director Senior Sales Area Director and, within a matrix organization where interfunctional cooperation will be fundamental to reach Company goals, to the EMEA Senior Operation Director.

Responsibilities and assignments:

- Responsible for Production site management
- Responsibility for personnel, equipment, processes and for a coordinated management within Operations departments
- Ensure a productive and flexible manufacturing process to best meet cost, schedule and quality targets
- Continuous improvement of the production processes
- Create a production strategy/roadmap in alignment with Company expected volume growth
- Setting annual targets for the subordinate lines
- Personnel management of approx. 50 employees at the site
- Budget responsibility and participation in investment planning
- Close cooperation with the interface departments Engineering, HSE, Quality Management, Purchasing, Finance & Controlling and Sales
- Collaboration in cross-departmental project teams
- Application and sustainable implementation of LEAN methods
- Regular exchange with the main plant in Eurasburg

Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

- Technical background (Engineering)
- Several years of professional experience in the production environment, including very good knowledge of production engineering and organization
- Experience in employee management, motivation and development
- Affiliative Leadership
- Lean knowledge (at least Green Belt)
- Business administration knowledge and change management skills
- Entrepreneurial personality, flexibility in dealing with customers, strong customer and business orientation
- Very good comunication skills
- High awareness of quality and occupational safety
- Ability to work in team with empowering communication style
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

**Education**

Degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering

**Work Place**

The position is based within Vicenza province

**Language Competencies**

Fluency in English is a must (CEF B2/C1)
