**Job purpose**:
The Specialist Mechanical Technician is responsible for carrying out the assigned work to ensure the functioning of the machines in order to allow production continuity. He will be equipped with the tools to allow the repair of the machinery and he will be entrusted with any spare parts that can be assembled on the machines in order both to restore the functioning of the machine if it has a breakdown and to prevent its breakdown if he must work preventively. He will closely work with the internal mechanical department, maintenance department, production department and health and safety department.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Troubleshooting.
- Technical assessment of the work to be carried out.
- Ability to work in a team, ability to interface with colleagues and with the direct superior to solve the fault and/or carry out the works.
- Daily management of maintenance orders and management of machine returns following technical works.
- Understand and manage machinery risks to minimize the impact on production operations.
- Follow-up actions related to machinery operation and spare parts shortages that could affect the operation of production machinery and general plant services.
- Use the preventative maintenance planning system to ensure scheduled tasks are performed and solve any issues as required.
- Support parts inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
- Support technical representatives to minimize obsolete spare parts stocks.
- Collaborate with internal and external technicians to forecast, plan, and facilitate the procurement of spare parts for production machines to avoid business interruptions.

**Required skills, qualifications, experience and behaviours**:

- Mechanical Expert diploma, Electrotechnical Expert diploma, Professional Diploma or Equivalent Industrial Expert Diploma.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of machine tools.
- The ability to use machine tools and in particular the lathe will be preferred.
- Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally (with staff of external companies).
- Strong work planning and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of machine operation.
- Knowledge and ability to use a PC, including Excel skills.
- Conversation and English comprehension are preferred
