**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
dormakaba is seeking an **Operational Buyer,** reporting hierarchically directly to Head Procurement South Europe and functionally to Local Finance Manager, to join our Finance & Operations team based in Milan.

**PRIMARY DUTIES**:

- The Operational buyer asks suppliers for offers (within own threshold) and has the mandate to award.
- In charge of Implementing/Executing the complete order process for indirect spend. (No PO/No Pay).
- Supporting the Category Manager Direct and Indirect Spend.
- Setup simple solutions for consumables with a focus on process costs.
- The operational buyer will actively promote continuous improvement by challenging process and procedure to identify and implement valid improvements.
- Working with the business to minimize maverick buying and ensure a compliant ordering process.
- Simplify and secure supplies by establishing framework contracts.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Commercial degree or technical degree with additional commercial training.
- ≥3 years experience in a similar position within direct and indirect procurement.
- MS Office is a must, experience in SAP-MM mandatory.
- Experience in handling interactions with suppliers, including contracts regulations.
- Experience in the execution of RfQ as well as quotation evaluations, in SAP and eProcurement is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
