Job Title:
Financial Controller Italy

**Job Description**:
Key member of Italy site leadership team, providing full finance support to the Italy business creating consistent and accurate management accounting and financial reporting, fulfilling all group, statutory, and external reporting requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Month End and site financial control 60%
- Monthly management accounts preparation and timely submittal to the US.
- Full trial balance submittal with P&L and balance sheet control.
- Inventory related reconciliations and control.
- Various other control account reconciliations, AR/AP/bank for US and Italian books.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Fixed Assets register update and control.
- Cost and margin analysis and reporting.
- VAT and tax reporting.
- Quarterly Reporting to HQ.

Statutory items 20%
- External and Statutory auditors coordination and control.
- Internal audit liaison as required.
- Statutory accounts preparation in accordance with local gaap and filing compliance.
- All tax coordination and compliance working with external consultants as required.
- Compulsory books maintenance.

Forecasting 10%
- Cash forecasts for the Italy site.
- Coordinate, control, and generate Italy sales and EBITDA forecast.

Budgets 10%
- Coordinate and control the Italian budget process with site leadership, including but not limited to P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
- Performs other duties as assigned._

Qualifications:

- Degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Five years experience post degree level.
- Experience of working in a general finance department.
- Ideally experience of working in complex organisations.
- Ideally costing and COGS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ideally experience with Transfer Pricing.
- Strong prioritizing skills and working hours flexibility is required to deal with tight deadlines during close periods.
- Ideally experience with issues related to international (Extra/Intra EU) shipments.
- Self starter and able to tackle unexpected road blocks.

Skills and Abilities / Core Competencies:

- Management accounting and statutory accounting with integrity of reported results.
- Control account reconciliation experience and relevant investigatory work.
- Good understanding of standard costing systems, calculation and control.
- Good understanding of the main COGS drivers.
- Coordination and control of site budget process.
- Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Working experience with Microsoft Great Plains and SAP.
- Knowledge of Power BI / PowerQuery would be an advantage
- SOX requirements knowledge
- Accuracy, reliability, confidentiality
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge in written and spoken English.
