We have a longstanding research and development capability in Immunology and combining common pathways and underlying disease drivers across Respiratory and Immunology, AstraZeneca is following the science from chronic lung diseases to immunology-driven disease areas.
We are entering an era of unprecedented potential to deliver scientific breakthroughs within asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and chronic cough. Our overall research ambition for the future is to transform the lives of these patients through our growing portfolio of inhaled combinations at the core of care, biologics for the unmet needs of specific patient populations, and scientific advancements in disease modification with the ambition of achieving remission or even cures for patients.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Reporting to the Business Unit Director, you will be responsible for marketing and strategic plans, sales results and competitive performance for Respiratory Biologics franchise. You’ll have primary responsibility for marketing activities of assigned product (new biologic product within severe asthma setting) to support company objectives.
You will be accountable for:
- Define TA Market Context through a deep understanding of the Patient Journey and key roadbloacks from suspect of Illness to pts follow up
- Work with Medical and PTs engagement in order to build a collaboration with TA Scientific Societies and PAGs
- Coordinate the Brand Team in order to Define and implement pre-lauch and launch activities, driving and delivering launch performance
- Developing and deploying local strategy in line with Global ones to achieve product business’s goals: sales, profit, and market share, both with current and future indications.
- Developing forecast on sales, profit, market share and investment strategy based on agreed budgets.
- Defining Franchise strategy through the implementation of cross functional brand plan process, considering Company/alliance and Product objectives
- Guaranteeing an effective product communication, promotional supports and implementation of Cross Functional Brand plan in order to reach sales objectives and margins, considering also the market access implications
- Assuring the market analysis (scenarios, trend, competitors, etc.) and monitoring the quantitative and qualitative product perception
- Leading cross functional Product Business Team in order to guarantee the effective implementation and monitoring of Brand plan actions
- Working closely with sales leaders to identify opportunities/issues
- Driving innovation in the business finding and implementing innovative approaches like Innovative Value Strategies and omnichannel
- Managing all activities and Account relationship according with Company Values, Code of Conduct, Guidelines/Internal procedures and Italian legislation
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree is required with science expertise as preferred
- Proven success in a leadership roles in Sales and Marketing areas
- Experience in the TA
- Launch experience and success
- Proven strong influencing skills and stakeholder management
- Experienced and comfortable working in a matrix environment
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, demonstrating flexibility and a proven ability to deal with complexity under time pressure.
- Experience and effectiveness in the presentation of written and verbal business cases to the most senior Management.
- Numerate and having financial literacy
- Tenacity and resourcefulness.
- Demonstrates structured and measured leadership, interactions and decision making during periods of high intensity in external or internal deliberations.
- A flexible, team orientated attitude, willing to contribute own skills to deliver AZ priority projects
- Proficiency in English and Italian
