Azienda Multinazionale - Dispositivi Medici Oftalmici - R&D Manager - Ricerca e Sviluppo **La tua nuova azienda** Our client is a global ophthalmic medical device manufacturer. The company partners with ophthalmic surgeons to improve the vision of millions of patients across the globe. **Il tuo nuovo ruolo** In order to implement the team, we are looking for a R&D Manager, reports to Senior Director. He/she manages R&D resources to support high impact Research & Development initiatives, including EU MDR, new opportunity identification, technology development, product development and line extensions. They will be in charge of: - Manage R&D Team resources & activities: Product development; Design Controls; Remediation, Audit Support, VOC, competitor product analysis, literature & patent search. - Technical leadership for design remediation activities to support BVI’s EU MDR program. - Lead R&D Staff, including goal setting, overall team performance & career development. - Provides technical support to product development initiatives within new product development and sustaining engineering portfolio’s - Provide independent technical review. - Collaborate with cross functional management on new initiates. - Embrace and continuous NPD process improvement. - Identify and drive best practices within the R&D group. - Contributes to company Intellectual Property Portfolio. - Effectively communicates activity status, issues and mitigation plans with key stakeholders. - Other duties as required. **Di cosa hai bisogno per aver successo** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, or related field, Advanced Degree or MBA preferred. - 10 years’ relevant experience in the medical device industry; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, with related project management experience and/or team leadership roles - 1-3+ years Resource Manager experience, with demonstrated leadership capability to effectively coach, mentor and manage the R&D Team. - Experience working oncross functional project teams in the end-to-end lifecycle bring new products/technologies from concept through commercialization. - Experience operating in regulated design controls environment. - Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Italian and English - May require travel up to 20%.
