For a B2B Services Multinational Company, we are looking for a Legal Counsel & Compliance Officer that will provide general commercial legal advice and assistance to the South East Europe (SEE) Region.
Reporting directly to the SEE General Manager and functionally to VP General Counsel, Risk and Compliance, he/she will be involved in the following activities:
- Contract review and negotiation of terms of business with clients and internal business
- Review and maintenance of standard terms and conditions of contract for the SEE region legal entities
- Lead “group compliance programme” within South East Europe country and implement specific local interventions, policies, procedures and guidelines and training
- Act as Data Privacy Ambassador
- Risk Management within the region. Responsible for tracking and maintaining local and regional risk registers and providing support to the local entities to implement improvement measures
- Support to business with acquisition, mergers, divestments and restructuring
- Drafting legal documents such as contracts for the provision of services, sub-contracts, SLAs, consultancy agreement, confidentiality agreements
- Ensuring corporate governance basics are observed. Director’s appointments and resignations, director and senior management training in conjunction with L&D), Board meetings minutes and key decisions and resolutions recorded
- Participating in cross Operating Group initiatives working with peers across the European team in projects ranging from sustainability, cyber and anti-corruption and leading where development targets or particular specialisms promote this
Skills required:
- Law Degree
- Qualification as solicitor/advocate/lawyer
- Ability to advise and practice in commercial/employment law
- Good communication and negotiating skills
- At least 6 years of experience in the role, better if in TCI or Services Company
- Fluency in English (C1 level required)
