- 15+ years of relevant public policy and advocacy experience, e.g. within corporate public policy and government relations, in public administration, trade associations or non-governmental organizations
- Outstanding oral and written communication in English is required, and a proven ability to convey complex arguments in writing is a must.

Job summary
Based in Italy, the new Sr. Mgr. Public Policy Digital & Entertainment will be responsible for engaging and partnering with policymakers, regulators, academia and other non-governmental groups in support of Amazon’s Digital and Cultural Products businesses, as well as of our Prime Video and Amazon Studios content services. He/She will do so at the highest levels of government, policy-making and regulation community to ensure Amazon can continue providing an innovative and consumer-centric entertainment experience. He/She will manage and coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, partnerships, and initiatives in support of these objectives.

The role will be based in Rome and part of the Italian Public Policy team. The Italian Public Policy team works with a wide range of national, local, and supranational policymakers, industry organizations, and non-governmental organizations across policy issues spanning the consumer and commercial environment, including but not limited to digital technology, consumer affairs, economic development, privacy, intellectual property, logistics and tax.

DESCRIPTION - ROLE

As new Sr. Mgr. Public Policy Manager, Digital & Entertainment, you will be able to coordinate Amazon’s engagement with relevant industry associations and wider coalitions, and manage consultancy support. You will be able to manage and drive medium scale projects, conduct external advocacy efforts, outreach programs, partnerships, and initiatives in support of these business You will provide clear and confident guidance, including in situations of ambiguity. You will be a team player, able to work collaboratively and respectfully within broader European and global structures, to earn trust and build partnership with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate an astute understanding of the EU public policy and regulatory environment, particularly as relates to Italy.

The position is based in Rome.
