**About the team**

At SumUp, we've built our success on helping micro and small merchants thrive. As our merchant base grows in volume and complexity, we're scaling a dedicated **Account Management function for High-Value Merchants (HVMs)**.

This team manages the post-sales relationship with some of our most strategic merchants, acting as **trusted advisors** focused on **retention, commercial growth, and multi-product adoption**. You'll work closely with leading businesses in Italy, spanning diverse sectors such as retail, hospitality, wellness, and more.

We're looking for commercially driven, relationship-oriented professionals ready to drive value, uncover opportunities, and contribute to long-term merchant success.

**What you'll do**
- Manage a portfolio of High-Value Merchants in Italy
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and business owners
- Conduct structured **Business Reviews** to assess performance, unlock insights, and identify areas for growth
- Lead commercial conversations focused on business value and product adoption
- Identify and close **cross-sell and upsell opportunities**:

- Monitor merchant health using tools like Salesforce and Tableau, and act proactively on churn signals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Support, and Operations to improve the overall merchant experience
- Play a key role in shaping how SumUp supports its largest and most complex merchants

**You'll be great for this role if**
- You have 2-4 years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or B2B commercial roles (experience in a fintech environment is a plus)
- You're confident managing strategic clients and leading high-impact conversations
- You approach relationships with a **consultative mindset**, aiming to solve problems and drive mutual value
- You're comfortable using data to inform decisions and identify commercial opportunities
- You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and international environment
- You're fluent in **English** and **Italian**
