**Roles & Objectives**

As an Intern you will be part of our Digital Engineering department for Philip Morris International and will be reporting to a Sr. Business Solution Lead. The position will be based in Bologna.

In your role, you will join the Business Solutions Foundation team, which is leading the development and deployment of digital solutions for manufacturing.

You will work in direct contact with 25+ PMI manufacturing sites around the globe, with the goal of supporting the ideation and the deployment of ambitious Digital Transformation projects

**Specific Responsibilities**:
You will be involved in the following activities to support PMI Digital Transformation Journey:

- Understanding needs & challenges related to digitalization of production processes
- Supporting the design, development and deployment of Custom Applications and Hybrid IIoT Solutions focusing on customer centric approach
- Overseeing the development of the solutions with external IT partners & internal teams
- Practicing agile methodology for project management
- Ideating, developing and testing AI Proof of Values

Required Skillset:

- Studies for a master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Communications Systems, Management, Technology and Entrepreneurship or related areas
- Proactiveness and good organizational skills
- Knowledge in Agile methodology
- Knowledge in Software Engineering area, development tools and best practices
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
