We are seeking a dedicated and technically competent **Piping Specialist** to support a **Hydrodesulfurization (HDS)** project for a major client based in **Rome, Italy**. As part of the Owner’s Engineering team, the Piping Specialist will assist in reviewing piping engineering deliverables during the FEED or Basic Engineering phase, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support piping engineering activities related to the Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) unit during the FEED or Basic Engineering phase.
- Review contractor deliverables such as piping layouts, isometric drawings, line lists, and material specifications.
- Assist in checking for compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., **ASME B31.3**, **API**, **ISO**).
- Coordinate with other disciplines (process, mechanical, civil, instrumentation) to resolve interface and design issues.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and design coordination meetings.
- Provide technical input during constructability reviews and support resolution of technical queries.
- Assist with the follow-up of piping material requisitions and vendor documentation.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in **Mechanical Engineering** or a related field from a recognized university.
- ** Minimum of 5 years** of experience in piping engineering within the **oil & gas** or **petrochemical industry**, preferably during FEED or Basic Engineering phases.
- Good understanding of international piping codes and standards such as **ASME**, **ASTM**, and **API**.
- Experience working with piping design tools and 3D modeling software (e.g., SmartPlant 3D, PDMS) is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- ** Fluency in English is mandatory**; knowledge of Italian or French is a plus.
