**The role?**
The Electrical and Automation Specialist Technician is responsible for leading and performing tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of electrical and automation systems in Caterpillar forklifts, as well as cranes from the brands Liebherr, Manitowoc, Terex, and Genie. This professional plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these equipment in the gas and oil sector.
**Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas**
- Supervise and guide a team of electrical and automation technicians, ensuring the completion of tasks and established goals.
- Train and develop team members, keeping them up-to-date with the latest technologies and procedures in the electrical and automation field.***
- Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on the electrical systems of Caterpillar forklifts, as well as cranes from the brands. Liebherr, Manitowoc, Terex, and Genie.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the functionality of the electrical systems.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues, such as circuit failures, control panels, lighting systems, among others.
- Set up, program, and maintain automation systems in Caterpillar forklifts and cranes to improve the efficiency and safety of operations.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on control systems, sensors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
- Strictly comply with all sector safety standards, ensuring that the team is aware of electrical safety procedures.
- Identify and mitigate safety risks related to electrical and automation systems.
- Coordinate and schedule the activities of the electricians and automation technicians, ensuring the availability of necessary resources.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, programming, and modifications in the electrical and automation systems.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and mechanical maintenance, to ensure the efficient integration of electrical and automation systems in Caterpillar forklifts and cranes.
- Prepare periodic reports on the team's performance and improvements made to the electrical and automation systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all activities related to electricity and automation.
**Recognized Qualifications and Experience**
- Technical training in electricity, industrial automation, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in electrical maintenance and automation in
- Caterpillar forklifts, cranes from the brands Liebherr, Manitowoc, Terex, and Genie.
- Proven skills in leadership and team management.
- Deep knowledge of electrical and automation safety standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in electrical and automation systems.
