**What you will enjoy doing**
- Managing the organisations’ accounting and financial functions
- Ownership of financial accounts and supporting processes and procedures
- Key member of the Italian Leadership team - you will be part of Board of Director in Italy
- Accounting - Prepare monthly US GAAP financial and completion of the annual Italian Statutory accounts to plan
- Prepare detailed analyses of monthly financial statements which fully explain deviations to plan, forecast and past performance
- Provide the timely support to local management whilst challenging as necessary / appropriate to ensure the business is managed effectively and both operating and financial performance goals & objectives are met
- Financial Planning - lead the process in conjunction with local management team for the preparation of both the detailed annual business plan and subsequent monthly reforecasts
- Capital Spend Management - responsible for ensuring capital spend budget is well-controlled and reported accurately
- Prepare Capital Spend investment proposals in conjunction with local management for approval by European / Global leadership
- Review and manage FX risk through internal hedging and ensure working capital management is undertaken daily
Tax - complete and file the annual local corporation tax return(s) and all other local tax returns
- Risk Management - work with the US Risk Management department in providing annual declaration of insured values for global policies
- Compliance & Internal Controls - ensure policies are adhered to and introduce/maintain local controls which safeguard the company’s assets and update existing and initiate new control procedures in support of the Sarbanes-Oxley process

- Fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the energy, drive, focus to influence and earn respect from Italian and European management
- Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, develop and motivate direct reports
- Ability to be an effective leader who is a confident decision maker and a true team player
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to plan and implement solutions
- Good knowledge of US Accounting System is a must, as well as good knowledge of English is a must
