**About the job**

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Room Service Department in Milan, the Chef de Rang is responsible to delight and satisfy our guests. We are dedicated to making a difference every day and continually improve to ensure we are the best. The Chef de Rang reports to the Room Service Manager.

**As**Chef de Rang, you will responsible for the following duties**:

- Professional in-room serving of food and drinks
- Professional advice and customer care for our guests
- Excellent product and sales knowledge
- Deliver in room dining order to the guests in a timely manner, within the quoted time
- Check accuracy of order before delivering - be sure it is complete.
- Assisting and preparing all VIP amenities
- Preparing all orders and setting up tables or tray according to the order in timely manner complying with our quality and hygiene standards
- Picking up the table after the use by the guests or as per guest’s request
- Preparing the required Mise en Place and keeping the Room Service area clean
- Booking all transactions in the cash register system and carrying out correct cash accounting
- Making sure that all product served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it to the guest
- Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

**As Chef de Rang, we expect from you**:

- He or she is a person willing to offer professional and impeccable service, ensuring that the guest's experience at the Mandarin Oriental is exceptional.
- Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience in a comparable position.
- Communicative skills - guests will contact you with complaints as well as positive feedback.
- High level of commitment as well as a structured, results-oriented and independent way of working.
