Principal Enterprise Architect

**Essential responsibilities**
- Set the strategy and roadmap for Infrastructure and Cloud adoption for the Avio Aero enterprise
- Manages the financial budget and implementation process for all infrastructure and cloud-based projects in the AvioAero business
- Lead, coach and mentor, a team of Solution Architects, Technical PMs and Software developers
- Act as Change Agent Identifying opportunities for necessary changes and pursues/leads them when appropriate
- Recommend changes that impact strategic business direction
- Lead the planning and implementation of change programs that impact critical processes
- Advises senior leaders on planning opportunities and implementation considerations for strategic investments and Identify how the cost of change weighs against the benefits and advises accordingly
- Lead development of internal products and platforms to improve team velocity, such as standard work and CI/CD, process automation, quality assurance and testing and governance
- Establish and foster a work culture at all levels that is positive, collaborative, diverse, inclusive, respectful, innovative, dynamic, with high integrity, and capable of driving positive change over sustained periods of time
- Works with senior business leaders to communicate risks, impact, and mitigation plans for the business

**Qualification/Requirements**
- Strong professional experience in Architecture, Data & Analytics and SW development
- Ability to lead and run remote teams, potentially multicultural and on multiple time zones
- Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

**Desired Characteristics**
- Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
- Knowledge of moderate to advanced AI/ML models and how to operationalize across varying scales of data (operational, big data, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure as code technologies whether native or 3rd party (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Experience with virtual machine and container image lifecycle management
- Demonstrated ability to establish operational performance metrics and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements for systems, processes, and resources
- Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
