**Accountabilities**
- Analyze and understand technical requirements concerning Manuals & Training (M&T) during the Bidding phase for new project.
- Analyze and understand Contractual technical requirements concerning Manuals & Training (M&T): i.e. Operating manuals, Maintenance manuals collection; Troubleshooting manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, Operators and I and II level (incl. Overhaul) Maintenance training courses.
- Prepare Technical Requirements Specifications concerning Manuals & Training for external sub-suppliers of vehicle subsystems according to Requirement Breakdown Structure (RBS).
- Prepare the project budgets as far as M&T activities.
- Prepare Technical Requirements Specifications concerning M&T sub-suppliers (technical writers and training instructors).
- Project reporting as fas as M&T tasks (order requests, sub-suppliers performance approval, internal job reporting).
- Prepare the Manuals and Training Program Plan for each project (i.e. description of the process, schedule for the deliverables development, organizational chart, revision tracking, style guide, in-process and final approval review).
- Manage and coordinate the work streams concerning M&T for the given project or platform; interactions with the following main stakeholders:

- Hitachi Rail RAM dept.
- Hitachi Rail Design dept.
- Hitachi Rail Fields Engineering dept.
- Hitachi Rail Operations dept.
- external M&T sub-suppliers
- external vehicle system sub-suppliers
- final customer.
- Support the Hitachi Rail PE and PM with the verification of the M&T requirements/milestones.
- Support and coordinate the external M&T sub-supplier’s team (technical writers/instructors and team leader) for any technical analysis during the development phase of the technical documentation.
- Be the focal point for the customer relationship as far as project’s M&T requirements.
- Support and attend to factory or on-site vehicle maintenance verification activities for M&T.
- Coordinate (from technical and logistic point of view): training objectives identification, training needs analysis, didactical program development, training materials and aids availability, training evaluation) and partially attend as supervisor the training courses program at the customer’s workshop.

**Required Skills/ Knowledge**
- Willing to take on big challenges with large-scale railway rolling stock projects
- Huge capability to work in teams of people with different cultures
- Ability in problem solving
- Ability to analyze and understand technical documentation
- Ability to interpret contract technical specifications
- Advanced ability in the use of the main Word Processing tools
- Advanced ability in the use of Windchill GPLM

**Desired Skills/ Knowledge**
- Basic working knowledge of rail systems/sub-systems
- Basic knowledge of requirement engineering management basics and tools (e.g. IBM Doors).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of Manuals & Training (or RAM/Fields Eng./Operations)

**Education/Qualifications**

Diploma/degree required (preferably technical field).
