**Your Role and Responsibilities**

Cloud Migration & Modernization Migration/Platform Specialist provides technical leadership to the migration architects and other specialists teams involved in the migration projects to support each phase like the assessment/discovery, the planning, the design and the migration execution.
Your key Responsibilities
- Attend the workshops to articulate the Scope, the method and approach for the migration working with other Subject Matter Experts and Architects to build the migration strategy co-creating and developing a viable solution.
- Support Migration Architect during detailed-planning and creating Migration runbook procedures.
- Refine migration estimates and migration techniques and tools.
- Verify technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements
- Validate target infrastructure readiness for migration.
- Update Migration Event Runbook and create Migration Desk-Procedures.
- Drive the migration tool deployment and configuration.
- Drive the implementation of special migration methods like cluster migration, storage or data migration, etc
- Lead the technical implementation for the migration wave.
- Lead the technical remediation for any migration issue for that specific wave.
- Engage and lead vendor interlock for issues and technical remediation.
- Provide technical support and 1st level escalation to the specialists for any technical issues during migration.
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce migration effort.
- Provide technical leadership to the migration specialist team.
- Fluent English language skills a must.
- Oral and written communication skills requested.

Ability to travel if requested for customer’s need and business opportunity is also a must.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

- Experience (Hands-on) with at least one major cloud provider and/or one platform such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Exposure to tools like Carbonite/Double-Take, Zerto, AppZero and other Native tools from Cloud Service Providers.
- Good understanding of infrastructure such as network, storage (SAN/DAS/NAS, Object Storage, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- Containerization/Virtualization migration practice (e.g. VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- one cloud certification: AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud Platform

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**

Desired Technical and Professional skills:

- Scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell
- Self-motivated and able to excel in an Agile, collaborative environment
- Motivated to mentor teammates and peers and be mentored by Senior roles.
- Collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking
- Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Openshift, AKS, EKS, GKS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, Master’s preferred
