Microbiology Associate internship

**Position Summary**:
For Cantel Medical Italy, now part of STERIS Group, we are looking for a Microbiology Associate Intern to join our R&D Department based in Pomezia (RM).

She/he will assure to support the “in vitro” test according to EN/ISO Standards requirements. Respecting the deadlines; Check the expiration date of the reagents and the microbial strains; Fill laboratory notebooks and record the results. Ability of preparation of culture media and microbial strains suspension.

**Duties**:

- Product validation according to the membrane filtration method and dilution/neutralization method
- Test according to ISO/EN Standards: validation and verification
- Preparation of culture media both in solid or liquid form. Growth Promotion Test and Fertility Test
- Monthly transplantation of microbial strains for tests on the products. Amplification microbial strains and freezing.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.

**Education Degree**:

- Master's Degree in Biology**Required Experience**:

- Knowledge of microbiology: capacity to handle the different microbial strains experience in strains titration, propagation and transplantation.
- Knowledge of European standard UNI EN 14885 for chemical disinfectant and antiseptics.
- Knowledge and ability to perform mixture dilutions, and knowledge of different sampling techniques.
- Master Degree in biology or similar
- Good English write and spoken
- Good expertise in office automation tools
- Able to handle multiply priority
- Good ability to organize time and work
- Accountable and Results oriented
- Excellent to take care of details
