Scope
- The role of Regional Director of Product Strategy leads the strategy across Southern Europe, with responsibility for the full Tax & Accounting portfolio at a regional level, as well as APIs and cross-domain platforms.
- The role is accountable for defining, executing, and aligning product strategy in markets with diverse regulatory, competitive, and maturity contexts.
- It reports directly to the VP/GM at regional or global level and works in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, Services, and other key functions.
- With a short-, mid-, and long-term perspective, the position ensures both immediate results and sustainable growth. Roles & Responsibilities Strategic Definition:
- Shape and communicate the regional product vision in alignment with corporate strategy.
- Define investment priorities (R&D, acquisitions, new functionalities, verticalization).
- Ensure strong competitive positioning in all relevant market segments (SME, Corporate, TA´s, BPO´s) Portfolio Management:
- Continuously assess portfolio performance (growth KPIs, profitability, cloud adoption, usage).
- Make decisions on portfolio consolidation, divestment, or expansion.
- Oversee migration from legacy to cloud, ensuring efficiency, continuity, and client satisfaction. Go-to-Market & Revenue Growth:
- Define pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies adapted to diverse customer segments and geographies.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to secure clear value messaging and differentiation.
- Drive vertical strategies (Hospitality, Agriculture, Construction, etc.) to accelerate growth opportunities. Regional Leadership:
- Act as the “voice of product” in the region for strategic customers, partners, resellers, and industry bodies.
- Represent the region at corporate and global leadership forums, bringing insights and defending local needs.
- Lead multicultural, cross-functional teams, developing talent and fostering collaboration. Public & Institutional Affairs:
- Represents the company in high-level events strengthening our institutional presence and influence in regulatory discussions.
- Relations with regulators and official bodies on Accounting, ERP, regulatory changes or AI.
- Recognition as a thought leader: keynotes, industry press, published studies. Skills Required:
- Executive Leadership: Ability to lead senior managers and high-level professionals with strategic oversight.
- Strategic Initiative Development: Skills in creating and directing high-impact product initiatives.
- High-Level Alignment: Ability to ensure product strategies support overarching business goals.
- Innovation Leadership: Proven track record of driving innovation and maintaining competitive advantage.
- Large-Scale Resource Management: Expertise in managing significant budgets and resource allocations.
- Market Strategy: Skills in conducting high-level market assessments and competitor analysis.
- Performance Management: Ability to set, monitor, and interpret key performance indicators.
